01

AutoCAD detailing

Develop and coordinate fenestration details using manufacturer CAD information. Work through heads, jambs, sills and transitions so aluminum framing interfaces are clearly communicated to the project team.

Clear details. Defined scope.

Horizon helps architects coordinate fenestration system selection with the project’s thermal and structural requirements and surrounding conditions. Clear details identify the intended framing requirements, giving subcontractors a defined scope to price and helping reduce bid-stage RFIs and the risk of avoidable change orders.

02

Condition review

Review project drawings, opening conditions and information from the project team. Identify perimeter, substrate and adjacent-material questions that need coordination before the details are finalized.

03

Thermal review

Review manufacturer thermal data, framing options and glazing assumptions against the project’s stated criteria. Discuss U-factor and condensation questions and coordinate additional manufacturer input where needed.

04

System review & product selection

Compare commercial aluminum windows, storefront and curtain wall systems with opening sizes, operation, glazing, design intent and project requirements. Identify appropriate EFCO, Tubelite or Wausau Window options for further evaluation.

05

Specification development

Support product descriptions, basis-of-design discussions and technical coordination. Connect the design team with current guide specifications, details and manufacturer information for the systems being considered.

06

Preliminary budgeting

Review preliminary scope, quantities and system choices to support early budget conversations. Refine assumptions as drawings develop and coordinate quotation requests with the appropriate sales contact.
